Bulkhead q's

I've decided to go with the foam route for bulkheads rather than wood. The procedure just sounds a little too simple so I want to make sure that I have it right. Just cut the 3" minicell foam to size(probably easier said than done) and then put it in place and seal the edges to the kayak with 3M Marine adhesive? That's it? I don't need to do anything to the foam? My mother wants to know if there isn't any reason we can't put bulkheads in her tupperware boat using the same process? Thanks, Nancy
