I'm wondering whether any of the purists out there has considered molding a custom WOOD seat? I imagine it would be impossible to make compound curves that would wrap around the thighs and cheeks as snugly as with a fiberglass seat, but you might be able to make a wood seat that nevertheless fit better than commercially available seats. I'm guessing the seat would have to be cold-molded/laminated from veneers, probably requiring a vacuum press.

Any ideas?
