Ummm...Lee--what do seal teeth have to do with superglue?!?! ;)

Makes me want a seal to come up and visit me while I'm paddling, though!

I wouldn't worry about the longevity aspects; once you glass the hull, the glue holding the strips together is not as important. The spar varnish should protect everything below it from UV. Does CA work well on wood?

As long as the CA doesn't interfere with the epoxy bonding--make a test panel to make sure epoxy sticks to CA (it should, it sticks to everything else)
