My only experience with superglue is that it rarely bonds what I'm trying to attach (it migrates towards fingers instead) and that it doesn't work too well on porous surfaces. However, assuming I'm way off base, and it is possible to use it on wood, you could dab the glue every foot or two, and allow the seal coat of epoxy to flood the gaps to become the real glue.
