ok,ok Shawn here's another story that I didn't get till years after I got into kayaking. So this would be 20 or so years ago. Two friends abusing their brain cells at Tomales Bay (bordered by Pt. Reyes peninsula). One guy borrows a klepper like kayak and drifts out with the tide. The bay is quite large and empties through a channel a few hundred yards wide after that dumping surf. Friend back on land, notices the absence is getting long and calls Coast Guard. They find him without paddle , he says he's just fine now please go away. He's brought back and after years of therapy is a fine upstanding member of society. He doesn't use superglue very much.
