There was another thread on bulkheads a few weeks back that I explained what I could, not adequate though.
I have all the info on them sitting on the desk in front of me and no way to scan it! Can you say frustration!!!!!
The good news is that I will be going to my parents this weekend for Thanksgiving and will scan and post all the info on:
1-Urethane adhesives,
2-DCU 2050 Polyurethane Clearcoat,
3-Glassing wood strip kayaks and canoes.
The adhesive I use is called Duramix and they offer a whole line of products for various applications. 3M and Dominion Sure Seal also make a line.
They are available at most autobody supply stores. They would also have all the info that I have.
Some benifits; structural adhesive (stronger than epoxy), won't shrink, excellent sealer, cures at any temp, cures in the rain (apparently even underwater!), will adhere equally well to all plastics, epoxy, steel, aluminium, etc., can be reinforced with matting, cloth or mesh, varying working times.
Some drawbacks; only available in black (apparently new clear out now), relatively expensive.
I think the benifits far outweigh the liabilities, but I use it all the time so I might be biased.
Duramix has a web site (type Duramix into your search engine) but it just lists their products. I will post procedures for usage this weekend.
Hope this helps for now, Ian
