I removed the seat from the mold while it was still green and immediately replaced it. Just smooth out any wrinkles and let the seat go to full cure on the mold.

For the first lay-up I used the minimum of glass and was careful not to overlap too many layers on the corners. I was concerned that I might have had problems breaking the "seal" between the seat and the mold.

The mold release stops the components from gluing together. Complexities of the mold's overall shape and small dips and hollows can mechanically lock the parts together. It is easier to deal with these potential problems when the seat is green, thin and flexible.
