the simplest and most versatile system i can think of are sponsons. you can find them advertised in Sea kayaker magazine, if you need more stability than that there are outriggers that go with some sailing rigs, I'm not much help with names but the one I'm thinking of has inflatable outriggers,
this just came to mind, get your spare paddle and two paddle floats and put in under the back deck bungies, or get a cheap short paddle 150-175cm and attach the float bags,not sure what kind of stability your looking for, always there,or simply no tipping over protection.
I like the cheap paddle and paddle floats idea. give you something to mess about with to make the paddle secure.
