*grin* actually, I wasn't implying you were a fanatic, but I've just never seen much of the stuff. Around here, there is a group of people who are real hemp "fanatics" who are really pushing for "hemp" "legalization", but their motives are for uses less noble than rope and cloth.

I like the idea because I know that many early ship lines were made of hemp, so I thought it would add a great "nautical" touch.

The coolest thing about using a rough fabric in a negative mold is that it would look rough and coarse, but be smooth and shiny to the touch.
