In Response To: Artic Tern Butt Joint Problem (Paul Williams)
I started out using to little epoxy when doing my first Tern butt-joints, and ended up with some large air bubbles. On subsequent panels I made sure that the area under the mylar was flooded, and I had fewer problems. Using too much epoxy is better that too little in this case.
I used a cabinet scraper on excess epoxy when it was green, then an orbital sander after it hardened.
