In Response To: Artic Tern Butt Joint Problem (Paul Williams)

On your future butt-jobs (;-)) all you'll need to do is add more weight on top of the mylar. This will make sure that all the excess epoxy is squeezed out. I built my Tern in the living room of my apartment and I naturally didn't have any bricks handy. I put a small chunk of 2x4 on each strip of mylar and balanced stacks of of my old engineering textbooks on them for weight. Good to know that all those hundreds of dollars of books went to SOME kind of good use...;-)
