Thanks for all of the great responses.

Now that I am a bit calmer, I have resolved to have fun and take my time on this project. The damaged area is on an inside panel, so I won't need to switch sides, I will carefully repair it as advised.

I have also acquired a Surform and coarse sandpaper and will proceed to calmly trim the excess cured epoxy from the seams.

Safety Note: I have abandoned thought of using the box knife for anything beyond cutting tape.
