I agreee with Ross, the guys at Gougon are quite helpfull when it comes to tech questions, and will give you all the help you need. Having worked with most of the West products quite a bit, ( I work at West Marine so I get a pretty goodd price on it), I have not seen any problems structurally with the 206 as a clear coat, but it is not crystal like the 207 is. It is not UV stable though, but a coat of either spar varnish or spar urethane takes care of this. The 207 is not stable either, so the same applies. as for dealing with the blush, hot water, as hot as you can stand to put your hand in, does the best job of getting it off. Its just a wax that occurs as art of the curing process, and does not affect the strength of the product. Once washed off with the water (and soap if your so inclined) follow it with a clean white rag with some thinner on it to remove any trace oils and your ready to go. I have't had any clouding on any of the kayaks I've built ot date (it gets addictive building these things)but they've only got a couple years on them. Good luck, Tom
