Thanks, I did just epoxy them to the deck. I lightly sanded the area first, so they would adhere nicely. I didn't use any reinforcement either. I bought 6' mahogany 1"x2" at the hardware store and ripped it down to the general size I wanted. I don't have a drawing, I just made them up as I went along, on some scrap wood first. I made sure they had adequate thickness for the bungies to pass under, and still have plenty of strength left. Mainly I just went with what looked right. I coated them with epoxy before epoxying them to the deck. I thickened the epoxy for gluing them on. I used strap clamps to hold them while the epoxy cured. Smaller pad-eyes could be made also for a perimeter line. I really like the ones on the back because the rise up to the same hight as the deck peak. This makes it nice for paddle float re-entries, but I have not had to do that yet. I'm hoping to learn to roll before I have to do a wet re-entry.
