Tom,

The plans for this boat are available in the Fall '94 issue of Sea Kayaker, and was my second choice to the Outer Island that I'm now building. It is 18' long (1' longer than the Tern) and has a 21.5" beam (1.5" narrower than the Tern) with a lower deck, so as to be more medium to low volume.

You might also check out some of the recents posts about the Putz Walrus. It was designed as a skin-on-frame, but someone here is trying to take dimensions off of it to make a stitch-and-glue version of. This may be more similar to the Tern if you want a beamier, higher-volume boat.
