ok some of you may have read my last post about builing a squirt boat out of plywood. well my local source for marine plywood just went out of buisness and I can't get anything thats thinner than 1/4 inch anywhere near here. I'v decided to try one off in fibreglass. My idea for a form is to make it out of the foam board used for insulation. I'll take several pieces of it and glue them together. I'll carv out the shape of the boat from that and then shrink wrap the whole ting to make a smooth surface. my question is. do I nee mold release if I'm going onto plastic? should I use polyester or epoxy resin? and also what kind of a layup should I use.
thanks so much
Dave
P.S. doesn anyone know where I can get a copy of the boatbuilders manual? it.s out of print and I can't find it.
