I wouldn't use anything smaller than say, a 21 gauge needle. I tried to fill some voids with one of those very fine needles (27G?) that are used by diabetics. It was impossible to suck-up even unthickened epoxy with, I poured some in the syringe, but the pressure when squirting it out just made the needle pop off. In the end, I brushed some epoxy on the void and used the syring to suck the air out, worked fine that way. An 18G needle would be ideal.
