Rehd, Im the one that I think most recently caused this discussion Most of the problems I had I think could have been eliminated with little difficulty. Here's what I will and will not do next time.

1. I glassed the outside of the hull with the deck removed from the forms for 3 days and sitting on saw horses. When I put the deck back on the form it had distorted a little but I didn't think it would be a problem. In hind site I should have done something to correct it. Next time I will make some spare forms and clamp/strap them on to help the deck keep its' shape.

2. After glassing the outside, the hull was removed from the forms for three days while I planed and sanded. I then glassed the ID without checking the hull by putting it back on the form. Next time I will put the spare forms in place each time I finish work for the day.

3. After glassing the ID I never gave the hull a second thought. I think that was the source of all my problems. Next time I will put some spacers or the spare forms wrapped with tape inside after glassing while the glass is still green like Ross shows in his response to you. I think that will solve it all.

4. In hind site I wrote to everybody on the board before I really gave it a good effort. Although I think it was the toughest part of the whole building project, with a little thought, a lot of force, an extra set of hands and a whole lot of tape it ended up no big deal.
