I have a glass guy coming in tomorrow to put a windshield in a car. I'll ask him, and get some ideas. He will be able to get the stuff too as auto glass is a small portion of his business, buildings being a much larger part.

I have since reconsidered my decision to not use aluminium. I have a friend who works as a fabricator and he says that cutting the stations out of aluminium is very fast on some computerized cutter that they have. So I could make a strongback that would work for all boats and just get him to cut the stations as I need them.

I will finish the one I have started on the wooden strongback first. My problem is that I have so many ideas and not enough time to do them. I get side tracked easily by each new idea or problem and the original idea of building a kayak takes a backseat. As an example, I have been reworking the trailer brake idea and the kayak sits in the garage. Story of my life though, so I don't think anything is going to change to soon!
