Mine hangs in the carport with a single line hoist. I fashioned a "1 x 4" x 4' plank (side up) as a speader bar. The fixed end of the line is tied to an eye bolt on the ceiling dead center of the boat and next to a shieve (like a pulley, but fixed solid in one place). The line then runs down through a sheive screwed to the center of the sheive, up tot he one next to the eye bolt then away from the boat (any angle will work) close to a cleat to tie off. Two loops of soft rope hang from the ends of the spreader bar. I tie slip knots when I make it up. Once I know where to place the loops to balance the boat, I hoist it up, tie off on the cleat, then secure the grab loops to the ceiling. I then put some slack in the main line to balance out the support on 4 points. Works like a charm. I may have spent $5 on the shieves.
