my understanding about harness weave was that the criss crossing threads would cross over more than one thread. So 8-harness would cross over 4 threads , but this is guessing , not gospel. I wonder if woven smooth is a high thread count, which would explain some of the wetting out dificulties, is it a higher thread count than regular cloth?, regular 4oz is something like 20x20, i think 6oz is much less, Some of the harness weave that Sweet said weren't good for handlayups had thread counts something like 40? faulty memory here but I think the number was much higher than what regular 6oz has. Georges method sounds efficient.
