They told me when I had it done that it sets up almost as soon as it hits the surface. It does come in many colors, but I don't know about clear. They completely tape up the area to be done and cover everything else, because if there is any overspray it's not going to come off without grinding it off.
I doubt it would work too good as a seal as it's too rough. The rhino lining is much smoother than Line-X though.
