It's about 6" behind the front cover, so definitely do-able. It would be tougher, though, to do 2 front covers if you had a flush-mount hatch cover on a strip-built hull! I'm sure it would be quite a chore matching the stripping pattern of the original hatch (not that someone like Nick or Joe would have a difficult time of it!)
