I was thinking that maybe a kayak with a BOOMBOX would be a good way to get my daughters to go kayaking with me. You know, those cars that drive by and the ground shakes for 5 blocks or so, That's a BOOMBOX!!

So the trouble was that with a 12 volt battery at 70 amps I could only get about 840 watts for 1 hour. I think the minimum I would need would be about 1500 watts and it would have to play all night! A generator would achieve this but where would I put it?

Now with your idea, I think I have a solution! I will supercharge a walkman by upping the output of the amp, and glue a set of those little headphones right onto the hull of the kayak!! My 12 volt battery will really power this baby. And if I use a walkman with the extra bass response feature not only will the ground shake but small tsunamis will appear too!

Okay, one problem solved! Now how do I tote along 3 or 4 of their boyfriends?
