I buildt an Osprey Std this summer. Once the hull is built, you should have saturated and glassed everything. All the chine seams should be full and covered with glass. The same is true of the deck. However, when you attach the deck to the hull, the SHEAR SEAM needs to be filled with thickened epoxy for strength. You can't reach all the way into the ends (until much later when you cut hatch openings) so the manual gives instructions for how to make a long handle to attach to the syringe, so you can reach into the ends farther than just your arm will allow. It was awkward, but it worked.
