Ben,
I just finished gluing the bottom (keel to chine) hull panels onto the frame before I logged on tonight. I'll be cutting the chine to sheer panels tomorrow. The frame is also obviously done, except for a few things on the deck. It's looking good.
I'm expecting my fiberglass from RAKA this coming week, should be just in time.
I didn't narrow the kayak at all, this one is for my brother who has only been out once, I don't want to make it too tippy for him.
I've been rough cutting the plywood panels on the band saw, and trimming them down with the block plane. The 1/8" luan is very easy to work with. I beveled the stems and stringers with the block plane and a disk sander.
I haven't been very good about keeping a journal of all my steps but I'll try to do better and maybe even set up a web site. the web site won't be until after Chistmas though, I've got too many projects going on.
Mike
