I was just down at the local bookstore (Chapters) and there was a magazine in there called Inuit Art Quarterly. It was full of mainly sculptures, but there were some prints and paintings.

I think the prints and paintings were mainly modern works done in a traditional style.

I wasn't aware that the Inuit painted, although I hadn't given it much thought. It would be interesting to know where they got the pigments for colour. Maybe this is a recent development though.

Anyway, check out the magazine. You should be able to find it at a large bookstore in your area.
