It's in the August '99 issue. The shaft is very light and strong. I've built a 6" long 1" diameter shaft as a prototye. It is easy to build and should be stronger and lighter than a solid shaft. You can also make it oval shaped and gain more strength. I have a plan for making one that is feathered an oval without splicing. Expect more news on this in the spring.
