Best laugh that I've had in a long time, Ian. Did you have to transport your old tank to the States to sell it to someone who would want non-metric measure?
Actually, I have been using metric for so long that I now make mistakes when using feet and inches. I sometimes forget to multiply feet by 12 instead of 10 when switching to inches, and find doing calculations of say finding 1/4 of 3' 7" 3/8" a pain. With metric it is just one division, not 3, and there are no fractions to have to change denominators.
