Looks like Im not going with a Guillemot kayak after all. Or any strip built kayak. Simply put, I havent got 300 hours of spare time to dedicate to building a kayak. When it came down to actually mailing out a check for the plans I did some serious thinking . Between a day job and a night job, on the verge of turning into a day job and prepairing artwork for the coming spring season, my time is spent out. That said, I sent off plans for the WestRiver 180 by CLC. Sixty hours is just a whole lot more doable than 300, or even 150. That aside, Im sure the 180 is a dynamite boat anyway.

Good news is by summer time Ill probably be packing enough green away to have Nick mill my strips!!
