I do understand, and you're right on target. But I want to give you one reminder. The purpose for securing the forms with cleats is to just get them to stay put once located properly. Cleats work, screwed in from either side, and so does running long drywall screws right through the form into the strongback, cleats on both sides, wedges, even the strips themselves will lend stiffness to the assembly.
