Congrats on the fianal decision! You wouldn't be disappointed with any wood kayak.

Just a bit of advice -- don't try to squeeze the boatbuilding in under 60 hours unless you've built before. My Arctic Tern was rated at 70 hours but I proabably spent 100-120 on it. I was probably a bit too 'retentive' about it, but I was glad to find that at the first kayak symposium I attended I had the nicest wood kayak (of 6 or 8 plywood boats there, no strippers.)
