Garland, if you're willing to drive a couple of hours to Dallas, you can purchase marine grade okume (not the 1088, but very nice) locally at the "Hardwood Lumber Co." (phone 972.869.1230). At last check, their price for 4mm was $36.50 for a 4 x 8 sheet. (They don't stock 3mm.) They also stock 6mm and 9mm okume.

Another Texas source I checked recently is Houston Hardwoods (phone 713.686.6176). They claim to have 3mm 1088 okume for $34/sheet and 4mm for $42/sheet. To deliver to Dallas, they quoted $20 to crate + unspecified shipping.
