I shoulda posted the question earlier, that sounds easier than what I did. I mated pairs of strips together where the centerline runs from the end of the stem up to the bottom. It came out a little strange-looking, but once I cut the excess off the centerline is fair. I didnt have too much trouble holding to the stations, one screw on each side of station 2 is all I used.
