Paul,
In checking around, (internet search on Okoume & Gaboon) they appear to be the same thing. Go to Yahoo.com and type in "Okoume Gaboon", take a look at what the various sites say about it.
I also seem to recall seeing a sticker on my Okoume from Pygmy that said Gaboon. Pygmy is pretty picky about their Okoume, so I doubt they'd include non-Okoume in one of their kits.
