Hi Wayne :)

Down below a few posts, there was a good list of ideas on bringing the shear clamps together with minimal gaps, and some would help here. A good one would be to bring the panels close together, with the stitching loose, say a 1/4 " or whatever will fit, and either run a file or paint stick with sandpaper between the two pieces to knock off the edges and give two mating surfaces at the same angle.
