Hi Ross, Of course you are right, but, I believe we have blundered here. I was thinking Dean said he had a Jig Saw, and just re-read the post. I believe he's talking about a Skil Saw. Definitely NOT doable. Dean, if you've got only a skill saw, then you're better off using the handle w/blade. I doubt if the coping saw blade will be strong enough to cut straight. Would probably bend. If Possible, a good Jig Saw can be picked up for about $20 to $30. That would be the best way. Sorry about the confusion on my part. Just got up and haven't had my coffee and not wearing my glasses. It's HELL getting old.
