Featherboards to hold the wood against the fence

Extended table on both sides, to fully support the wood before the cut, and after the cut. All perfectly uniform to one another.

A long fence that extends over both table extensions. Holding the wood in position before it encounters the blade, and after it encounters the blade. The featherboards should be along this long fence.

Featherboards to hold the wood down against the table, particularly against the sawblade.

Set the saw blade at proper height, do not make it excessive. The blade should extend above the wood by 1/2 a tooth throat.

Use pusher sticks and hooks. Do not go sticking your fingers in there, especially as you get the wood thin. Use the pusher sticks to push, and the hook stick to pull.

Stay out of the line of fire.
