> What is the best way to set up a table saw to cut strips and not fingers
Steve First you should always worry about your fingers. I am not a strib builder, but have been a woodworker for 27 years. If you are cutting boards longer than 10' for your boat it will be hard to get the pc. stright enough to cut with an extended fence as suggested unless you have access to a long bed jointer. I would like to suggest that you use a supplimentel fence that stops just past the blade, so when the strip comes off it wont be bound up aginst the fence. Also I would suggest the use of a ripping knife which attaches to your saw behinde the blade, Delta sells them for their saws. yiu will need extension tables ,they are a must. e-mail me if you need more information.
