... I am in the initial stages of making a Guillemot - forms, strongback, cutting strips, excreta.

Uh... I meant "etcetera" (damn spell checkers!) actually the "excreta" probably does apply - some what - when I neglect my other duties when I am busy building kayaks ;-)

Shawn, did you have a specific reason for not using cheater strips?

I might make a point of keeping the "negative" piece of wood that I cut off of the form to use to make a clamping jig on those extreme strips neat the bow and stern. What stations give the most trouble?

C&B or bevel - something else I have been debating. Do you have any problem keeping the strips aligned inbetween stations? Which method to use? Hmmmm...Oh well, I will just have to make two kayaks to find out which way I like best.
