I've done that a time or two, but having the hose between the coaming and skirt could cause a "weak link" that would allow surf or a rogue wave to implode your sprayskirt; or, it could come off in a roll. Of course, if you're not in surf, or don't roll, then it's not a problem. Then again, if you can't roll and capsize, then you'd better have that camelbak secured, or it's going to the cold blue depths.
Lotus makes a EFT Pack that is designed to fit on the back of all of their PFD's. It has a pocket for a hydration bladder, and it is also a great place to store safety and survival gear (Extra flares, space blanket, neoprene gloves & hat, extra VHF batteries, matches).
