Yes, I remember your comments sbout staples.

This kayak is going to be made from spruce with a few cedar accents.I am concerned that the staple holes are going to be VERY visable on the light wood.

I can't even consider starting to build for a couple of months so I have time to try a couple of "mock-ups" of the bow to see what can be made to work.

The staple holes don't really bother me - part of the construction style and all that, but I want to see if I can avoid them. (besides - the forms would last longer, right?)

Thanks for your comments Kent - I think we have a few new folks online who will be "taking the plunge" and may also be considering the options.
