I went stapleless on my great Auk. I used a bunch of "U" shaped wood pieces with bungie cord attached to them, run the bungie down through holes in the forms and then fastened with binder clips to hold it stretched. It was necessary to put a few nails in at stress locations. I was well into the striping before I realized how much some of the tension had pulled the strips away from the forms. I have a few places where the hull is now not in the proper shape. Fortunately it is about the same on both sides. Next time I would staple the hull and use the clamps on the deck. Earl
