Myself and a friend are in the process of building 4 CLC Chese's this winter. We glassed the hull last week and put on one fill coat and the hull looked great. We then put a piece of fiberglass tape down the center line the length of the hull. Next we feathered down the edges of the tape and sanded the hull because it had been a week since the previous fill coat. When we put down the next fill coat we ended up with a lot of tiny divets in the coating on the bottom of the boat. It looks as thought the resin doesn't want to adhere to the previous epoxy. Prior to the fill coat we vacuumed the hull and wiped it down with a damp rag. Could the problem be from poor hull preparation or possibly a blush. Would it be better to but the tape under the main glass? This way the fill coats can be put on with no interruption.
