I did what Hank suggested a couple of years ago with white cedar and it worked out fine. I had local 8' white cedar that i planed, cut into 1/4 strips, and stickered. It dries quickly and straight stickered about a foot apart. I marked a piece near the center and would weigh it every couple days on a postage scale. When it stopped losing weight the wood`s done. A fan the last couple of days will help speed things up. The sooner you can get started the better!
