This is definitely of interest. I am at the stage now of looking for timber to mill into strips and the tools to do it with, to build a Great Auk. I am doing this to gain some skills before attempting a Guillemot. I think I am capable of cutting the strips with the help of comments on here, but I am concerned about milling the Bead and Cove. The only router bits I can find are handyman type not the shapers shown in Nicks book and not sure of the quality of the Bead and Cove I will be able to produce.
Has anyone used these simple router bits to produce acceptable B and C strips?
I look forward to your next installment.
Simon
PS 26deg C down here :-) and great paddling weather.
