Paul,

I used the method that Mike posted on my Arctic Tern and they work great. I cut a bunch of shallow grooves on the 'hull' side of the blocks so that the epoxy would be assured of a good bond. Stainless steel T-nuts and screws can be found at West Marine, if there's one in your area. The Tern has abundant foot room, so you don't lose much foot room by bringing the pegs inboard a bit. I used 5/8" oak blocks, I think, because it was what I had on hand.
