I got a reaction from rubber gloves when I built my first kayak. It didn't matter what kind (latex, powdered, etc.) my hands broke out in mini-blisters from being kooped up in them. Through some good advice from this BBS I am now wearing thin cotton gloves under the rubber ones and have not had a problem since.
