Hi Mike,

I'd be very interested in seeing pics of how the birds-mouth shaft turns out, I read the article in wooden boat about this method and am half convinced to build a sail boat just so I can build birds-mouth spars. Looks to be an excellent method. I'm also building a euro paddle with a laminated shaft from the blade pattern in Nick's book, unfortunatly I cut & glued the strips for the shaft before I read the article.
