Or, you could install them as 1/4" strips and sand/grind/plane them down thinner. (Probably the route I'll go to get to 3/16" thick).

I finally got the hull finished on Saturday! Yippee!!

I've got the accent strip done as well, so tonight, I'm going to rip it into 1/4" slices and mount the 2' long sections in place.
